Yotel revealed as Neom Oxagon’s first hotel opening

The tech-savvy hotel’s features range from robot concierges to smart beds.

The buzz around Saudi Arabia’s megaproject, Neom, is gaining momentum. The first hotel at Neom’s Oxagon has been announced, and it’s set to be the British brand, Yotel. The 300 key hotel is scheduled to open in 2025, and it’s reported to cost $44 million.

Since Yotel is environmentally conscious and popular with business travellers, it is a suitable brand to be opening in Neom’s Oxagon. Yotel launched in 2017 at Gatwick Airport, England, and was originally designed as an airport hotel for layovers. Today, it operates under three different brands: Yotel, Yotel Air and Yotel Pad. Plus, the hotels can be found in cities ranging from Amsterdam to New York.

So far, we know that Yotel Oxagon will create a technology-inspired hospitality experience. We’re talking tech-tastic features, from a robotic concierge to smart beds. If you want to know what the robots look like, check out Yotel’s Boston and Singapore hotels. Need extra soap? Well, the hotels have robots that take amenities to your room.

Neom is one of Saudi Arabia’s most impressive megaprojects. Saudi Arabian megaprojects don’t get more sci-fi than Neom. The site will be the size of Belgium and sits north of the Red Sea coastline. The city plans to have flying taxis, a fake moon and glow-in-the-dark beaches. Plus, Oxagon aims to be the world’s largest floating industrial complex, which runs on 100 percent clean energy.

Neom recently released its first video, which updated the world on the project’s progress. The video features Sindalah’s beaches and seas; The Line, a 170km-long residential complex; and Oxagon’s development.

Upcoming events at Neom include the Asian Winter Games 2029 in Trojena. Trojena boasts slope residences overlooking a lake, and a ski village sitting 2,400 metres high. Plus, we already know that it will be home to 25Hours hotel Trojena and The Chedi Trojena. Trojena is expected to be completed by 2026.

Neom, we look forward to checking in.
