Travis Scott to headline Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2023

We've got Goosebumps just thinking about it.

Following the announcement that Travis Scott will headline Abu Dhabi's Wireless Festival on 11 March, the rapper has been revealed as the first act to perform at this year's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2023 in Jeddah.

A post on the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix official Instagram account states: "Multiple Grammy nominated US rapper, @travisscott, will perform at this #F1 #SaudiArabianGP."

The concert will take place on the Main Stage of the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, F1's longest and fastest street circuit.

Arguably one of the biggest names in rap music, Travis Scott is a global phenomenon with over 40 billion total streams and multiple gold, platinum, and multi-platinum certifications. He has had three number-one debuts on the Billboard Top 200 including Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016), Astroworld (2018), and JackBoys (2019).

Sicko Mode, his diamond-selling collaboration with Drake, made history as the first hip-hop track to spend 30 weeks in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 chart, earning a GRAMMY award nomination in the process. In 2019, he performed with Maroon 5 at the Super Bowl LIII halftime show and released a Netflix documentary Travis Scott: Look Mom I Can Fly, chronicling his rise to fame. In 2022, he joined forces with Drake and 21 Savage on their blockbuster album Her Loss.

The Highest In The Room emcee was previously scheduled to perform a $5.5 million one-off show in KSA in November 2021, but the performance was cancelled following the Astroworld Festival tragedy.

The controversial rapper is the first artist to be announced for this year's after-race concerts. However, the exact date of his performance and the other headliners are yet to be revealed.

The Formula 1 STC Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2023 weekend promises to be a thrilling event. Fans will be treated to three days of world-class racing featuring the best drivers in the world, as well as entertainment from renowned music artists.

The racing action roars into Jeddah from 17 to 19 March.
