But what makes XP Music Futures so special? Not only does it celebrate the surging success of the region's nightlife industry (which happens to be the fastest growing in the world), but it also creates a playground for collaboration and creativity for artists and professionals in the region.
XP Music Futures aims to inspire and nurture the new generation of music professionals in the wider MENA region while fostering collaborations with the global music community. And they're pulling out all the stops this year by introducing new formats and experiences for their visitors.
Arabic sessions and workshops? Check. Mixers that bring together international and regional talent? Double check. XP Music Futures is going all out to ensure attendees have a fantastic time while expanding their knowledge and networking circles. They're even showcasing the latest technologies in the music industry through networking forums and demo labs.
To structure the program, XP Music Futures is building it around four pillars: talent, scene, impact, and innovation. It's also committed to mentoring and building communities - and they're making strides in that department with the introduction of a new initiative called HUNNA. This groundbreaking program provides a platform and safe space for women in the music industry to gain mentorship and develop their skills and careers.
And there's more. XP Music Futures is bringing back XPERFORM, a competition for vocalists. This competition gives talented vocalists in the region the chance to shine on the stages of XP Music Futures and potentially kick-start their careers with MDLBEAST Records. Excitingly, YouTube is sponsoring the initiative, helping to discover and nurture emerging musical talent in the Middle East.
This year, XP Music Futures is introducing another innovative showcase called XP Presents. Each year, they'll shine a spotlight on a specific region to celebrate its diversity and culture.
