The passenger transport service will link Sharjah’s Al Jubail Station to Muscat’s Al Azaiba Bus Station.

The UAE and Oman share a border and travel between the two GCC countries is a regular occurrence, not just for business but also for tourism and family visits. To help ease the process, a new Sharjah and Oman bus route is being established to ensure easier travel to and from Oman's capital, Muscat

The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has given the green light to this travel initiative, emphasising the strong collaboration between the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) and Oman National Transport Company – Mwasalat. This move showcases the Sharjah Executive Council's commitment to enhancing connectivity and making travel more accessible for both residents and visitors.

Starting soon, daily trips will link Sharjah's Al Jubail Station with Muscat's Al Azaiba Bus Station. These trips will promise not only unmatched convenience for travellers but also fortify the already common ties between these two neighbouring regions. The significance of this initiative becomes even more apparent considering the high frequency of travel between the UAE and Oman.

Adding to the travel ease, Mwasalat, Oman's national transport company, resumed its bus service to the UAE last October. This service operates from Muscat to Abu Dhabi, returning via Al Ain. With multiple destinations covered, it provides an additional and convenient travel option for those journeying between the two nations.

These recent announcements and initiatives underscore the Sharjah Executive Council's dedication to enhancing the overall travel experience for residents and visitors alike. By making travel more accessible and fostering economic growth, Sharjah is not only connecting with Oman but also ensuring that packing your bags for a seamless journey is the next exciting adventure on your horizon.
